SATURDAY

In the crowsnest pass there are countless old buildings. This area is rich in the coal mining history. These pictures are from an old coal mine in Blairemore. The top picture and the bottom pictures are i boxes and boxes of refined coal they used as fuel to power there generators. The middle picture is tracks that lead towards to highway where the coal would have been taken away. There is some really cool interesting history down here in the pass. I hope you enjoy these photos. If you want to see others feel free to ask.

Day 52: Of days gone by

At a farm west of Calgary in Springbank lay farming equipment long forgotten to waste away in the fields. With the old farm building falling over I found a old horse shoe hanging up. Looking at the farm house, maybe it wasn't so lucky... By the looks of the land, cattle and the fact that the farm is still in working order, maybe it was a lucky horse shoe. Pretty neat none the less.

Day 38: hard to fin good topics

Here we go. To take a close up photo of something and make it interesting, make it grab your attention isn't easy. That's also why I am doing this topic. I am trying to create pictures that are different to my usual style. I am trying to challenge myself.

Day 30: Random alley artwork

So I have noticed in the communities of bankview and marda loop that there is one or several individuals that are taking their time to spread cheer throughout an area which is normally littered with junk and random trash. In alleys they have painted these small little flowers on bins, on poles, on railings, steps throughout the community. It isn't something that everyone would notice but for the people that do I hope it bring smiles to there face. It brings out a creative fun side, make it feel like more of a fun community, rather than just another part of calgary. Do enjoy and keep your eyes open for random art.
